Happy Thanksgiving to all Doggy Gourmet fans and their owners!
Remember, a few small boneless pieces of cooked turkey, a taste of mashed potato or even a lick of pumpkin pie shouldn’t pose a problem. However, don't allow your pets to overindulge, as they could wind up with a case of stomach upset, diarrhea or even worse—an inflammatory condition of the pancreas known as pancreatitis. In fact, it’s best keep pets on their regular diets during the holidays.

While the humans are chowing down, give your dog their own little feast. Offer them Nylabones or made-for-pet chew bones. Or stuff their usual dinner—perhaps with a few added tidbits of turkey, vegetables (try sweet potato or green beans) and dribbles of gravy—inside a Kong toy. They’ll be happily occupied for awhile, working hard to extract their dinner from the toy.

*Tips for a Pet-Safe Summer*
- Give your pet access to plenty of fresh water at all times.
- Never leave your dog, cat or any other animal friend alone in a car! The inside of a car can heat up very quickly—even with a window open.
- Be prepared! From tornadoes to floods, develop an evacuation plan well ahead of time in case you're forced from your home in an emergency.

PLEASE HELP! This is a heartbreaking story about a friend of mine. Spread the word! "Cioco & I have been together in Miami for 16 years, but I had to leave to Japan urgently without him. Friends have been taking care of my Cioco. I'm thankful to their great care + love. Now he needs to find a new place he can stay until he comes to Japan. Dog sitter may be the best option, but I cannot afford it for next 2 weeks ."
