I am Popping on to share that I will be deactivating the “That cinnamon roll chick” business page on Facebook. Despite my best efforts, I have found that this platform has not been as an effective way for me to connect with customers as my personal page is, as I have been receiving a high volume of spam messages from accounts outside of the country, including a message this morning from a gentleman in Puerto Rico requesting delivery of a dozen cinnamon rolls. I had previously adjusted my settings to prevent messages from outside of the country, but unfortunately, the spam messages have continued. I have found that the majority of my customers have been reaching out to me through my personal page, “Cari Rogers ,” or by phone. I am also grateful to have a strong presence on Instagram, where I have not experienced the same issues with spam accounts. As I continue to grow and evolve as a small business owner, I have come to realize that it is no longer necessary for me to maintain this Facebook business page.
