A difficult decision for us this year. 🎈

For those who have looked forward to finding our giant cookies at the balloon festival, we want you to know that we will not be participating at all this year.

Last year, the addition of multiple non-local food trucks to the balloon field caused our festival sales to drop by more than 50%. This year, we learned even more outside food vendors would be returning.

As a small, local business, we simply can’t justify participating when we’re being asked to compete directly with businesses brought in from outside our community.

This decision genuinely breaks our hearts. We have loved being part of this festival and seeing so many familiar faces each year. ❤️

But we also feel strongly that a community festival should support the businesses that support the community year-round.

We hope the city and festival organizers will reconsider this direction and recognize the impact that bringing in outside vendors has on the local businesses that are here long after the balloons leave.

To everyone who has asked where our cookies will be this year—we’re sorry we won’t be there. We will miss you. ❤️🍪

We’ll still be right here, baking away and serving our community like we always have.

🎈❤️🍪
