You know when you meet someone and just know they’re going places?

I met Sophie a few years ago when she took care of Nash during a week-long camping trip, and again the following year. One of my favorite memories is a video Nohemí sent me of Sophie playing the ukulele to Nash… and he was completely mesmerized. I remember telling Danny, “Uh-oh… Nash isn’t coming home. He’s in love.”

Fast forward, Sophie just graduated high school 🎓 a year early with honors 🤍 And it makes perfect sense. She sings, acts, plays instruments, draws beautifully… she’s just wildly talented.

I’ve loved watching her grow through Nohemí’s posts (the proud mom), and I feel lucky that she ordered cookies to celebrate this milestone in Sophie’s life

I made cookies for Georgia’s 1st birthday… and I got the opportunity to make cookies for her birthday number two.
Last year it was a bee 🐝 theme, this year was strawberries 🍓!!
Cutest themes for a baby girl!!!

This is probably one of my favorite cookie orders. Not because of the actual cookies, but because of the “theme,” which was Maya.

I love Maya like a niece. I love her parents too, but I also admire them. When I got the invitation as a reference for the order, it was so Mayita. Her mom told me she couldn’t pick just one theme, so they included many of Maya’s favorite things at the moment, and I thought it was perfect!!

I have to admit that I have no idea who the two girl characters are… so I went with the ones I recognized. ☺️

Happy 4th birthday, Maya. I heard your party was super fun!!

Aaaand… so we don’t lose the lovely tradition… the cookies were already in their bags when I remembered I hadn’t taken any pictures!!

The graduate girl cookie is from a designer I found on IG. The other designs are from a cookier I’ve admired for a long time.

Love them all!!

The graduate’s mom mixed and matched the designs beautifully. And that green and pink….😘

Turning my old living room into a cookie studio… still very much a work in progress ✨

It needs paint, tables, chairs, and a better chair for me too (Facebook Marketplace has me working overtime 😂). A friend will be installing tile ➡️ I’m sooo excited about that part!

Worked on this Easter order here and finally started feeling a little more connected to the space 🤍
Still needs to match my vibe… my soul ✨ but we’ll make it ours.

My brain has been in a slump lately, so when I was asked to make this cookie set, I actually Googled: “margs and matrimony meaning.”

“Margs”… margarita duh! that part was clear… just not to my foggy brain 😊

Brianna, you are such a great sister for organizing your sister’s bachelorette party. Thank you so much for your order.

Thinking of my Danny … he’s the one who suggested using matching fabric to decorate my order boxes.

Btw, these cookies are exactly what I would picture now if I ordered a non-alcoholic margarita 😉.

This was the last cookie order I made before my world changed… and before I stepped away for a little bit.

Making them was fun, as it always is. Creating each set brings me joy, but hearing back from a happy customer is something I truly treasure. Those messages stay with me.

Next week, I’ll be back in the kitchen.

Not moving on, but 🤍slowly 🤍moving forward.

One step at a time.

One cookie order at a time.

I’m working on new ideas and allowing this little business to help carry me forward.

On January 20th at 12:04 a.m.,
my Danny, my beloved eternal companion, crossed the veil.

It was unexpected.
I still can’t believe it.
I can’t imagine my life without him.

It’s a pain that I don’t think will ever completely go away.

I prayed fervently,
with all my soul,
to God for a miracle.

Not once,
but many times.

It didn’t happen.

Then, while I was kissing his hands,
and kissing his face,
and waiting for his last heartbeat,

I remembered that the miracle of miracles
had already happened.

Jesus Christ conquered death,
and because of that,
my pain and my time away from my Danny
is only temporary.

Because of Christ,
families can be together forever.

I will hold onto my testimony that this is true,
and that one day
I will see my Danny again,
never to be apart.
