Our naughtiest cake to date, this was the "Lawnmower Cake". Before you judge, hear the story behind it. This was requested to add a bit of humor and delight to the memorial service of the incredible Sydney Morrison of the Megaw Acting studio - a woman who was near and dear to us. Syd was well known for advising her actors to follow her advice or, ahem, their backsides would be grass and she would be the lawnmower. I was specifically asked to make sure yes, there would be backsides on the cake, and they would cover all ethnicities so that everyone felt included. This is also one of the largest cakes I've done, with a two layer base of 4 13x9 cakes (8 total). What I am most happy over, though is the small lawnmower, a topper made of polymer, with Syd's name on it, that could be saved as a momento. Thank you Syd for all the service, love, and tough love you gave to everyone; you are still sorely missed. This cake was an honor to make for you. (Psst! If any Megawvians have a better pic of this, please let us know!)

Zebra cake! Here is an order we got a few years ago. The request for a red and black "rock-a-billy" style cake. We weren't sure what to do with it exactly, but went with this design. The fun of this cake was that the roses around the candle were actually hair clips we made for the birthday girl. (the candle holder, which can't be seen here, was also hand made - after all, we needed the candle to be above the roses and feathers)

An oldie but a goodie - here is our giant cupcake birthday cake! This was so much fun. The actual cupcakes had vanilla candies in random geometric shapes on top, and the doodley bobs coming out of the cake dangled charms that were put together as a present for the birthday girl.
