📙 Story Time 📙
I started scoring this loaf yesterday knowing full well I was going to post it and a couple others to my neighborhood page, having no intention of selling it. I felt it on my heart to bless another family or families with fresh homemade bread amidst a crazy snow storm❄️
Be it God, the Universe, whatever it may, I had a new neighbor respond saying she would love it. When she came to my door, she informed me that she felt it must have been kismet that I posted as sourdough is her daughter’s comfort food. She then told me that her daughter had just lost her 10 month old baby girl and that she couldn’t wait to provide her with some comfort. They had a house full of family and are honoring her life today.
This was the second of three loaves I sent her home with and I would have given her more if I had them on hand. I wasn’t trying to gain new customers last night, I was aiming to bless a family in need. That’s exactly what she allowed me to do, and I hope it filled their families cup even just a little bit. 🫶🏼
As a mom of a 14 month old who hasn’t slept through the night since 4 months, I have been TIRED. Though my healthy baby girl may not sleep well, she is able to need me in the night and have me, and I have her. And yes, I may be exhausted, that’s more than I could ever ask. 🙏🏼
