Well this is embarrassing. 😂 Let's have a little small business confession moment shall we?
I did this. All of this. With my own two hands. Nobody to blame but me. 🙋‍♀️
These poor little flat sad cookies had ONE job. ONE. Look delicious. That's it. Just look delicious.
They chose chaos instead. 😭
Into the trash they went. No hesitation. No mercy. No negotiation. We do not send ugly cookies out into the world.
The GOOD ones, will be at Capital City Public Market this Saturday in Downtown Boise. Come find us and taste what happens when I actually pay attention to the timer. ⏱️😂🍪

I have to be honest with you. The lemon raspberry cookie did not pass my own test.
I baked the first batch today and the texture was not right. Too soft, too cake-like, nothing like the thick handcrafted cookies I am known for. I could have convinced myself it was good enough. I did not.
Tonight I am back at my kitchen counter reworking the recipe. Tomorrow I bake again. If it comes out the way I know it can, I am bringing 24 of them to Capital City Public Market this Saturday at Grove Plaza in Downtown Boise.

I baked the first test batch and it was not what I wanted. Too cake-like. Not the thick, dense, handcrafted cookie Sweet Temptations is known for. So tonight I am back in the kitchen reworking the recipe from scratch.
That is what small batch baking actually looks like. I will not bring you something I am not proud of. Tomorrow I bake again. If it is right, it comes to the market Saturday.

I have a new test flavor coming to the market this Saturday and right now the dough is resting overnight in my refrigerator.
Overnight hydration is not a shortcut. It is how you build real flavor. Tomorrow I bake it. Tomorrow you see it. Saturday you can come try one.
Only 24 of these are coming to the market. I will tell you everything tomorrow.

Something new is coming to Capital City Public Market this Saturday.
I can not show you the finished cookie yet because it is sitting in my refrigerator right now letting the dough do exactly what it is supposed to do overnight. Tomorrow you will see what this is. Saturday you can taste it.
