Hey, everybody! My page has gained a lot of traction lately, and I am extremely grateful for the support. Since there are so many new faces I don’t know, I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a bit more about my business. I hope you will take just a couple of minutes to read this post that will hopefully answer some questions you may have about me or my business.
My name is Emma Oliver, and I am a middle school math teacher by trade. My husband and I moved to Memphis one year ago so I could begin my tenure with the Memphis Teacher Residency. Since moving to Memphis, we have enjoyed trying out new coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries, going to Broadway shows at the Orpheum, and spending as much time outside as we can.
This business started by accident towards the end of March when a close friend saw a picture of my cinnamon rolls posted to my personal account and asked if I had thought about delivering them. Since we were quarantining and my work load for school was lighter, I decided to try it out. The interest has been more than I ever would have anticipated, and I am thankful that I have been able to meet the need so far.
That being said, I am a HOME bakery. Everything I make is made in my small, apartment kitchen, and I have to share food prep space and time with our regular meals. While I would love to be able to take every order that exists and make/deliver cinnamon rolls on demand, I’m simply not equipped to do so at the moment.
I am in the process of working on a more streamlined way to submit orders, but for now just keep messaging me on Instagram and I will get back to you as soon as I can! As of now, my ability to deliver is still only on the weekends, although I am hoping to expand this in June once I have a bit more time.
Again, thank you to everybody who has already ordered and for those of you who have had kind words to say about my business. I am looking forward to getting to know Memphis even more through this endeavor, and I am glad to have you along for the ride!
