OMG y’all, my hands are STILL SHAKING. 😭
I just got into an altercation at Walmart while picking out strawberries for tomorrow’s orders, and I am officially a sad panda. 🐼😂
When I’m buying strawberries to dip for customers, I try to make a pack of similarly sized and shaped berries from the surrounding packs so my boxes look consistent and I’m not purchasing berries that are already bruised, mushy, or unusable. I’ve done this plenty of times before and have never had an issue. I learned this from other treat makers and even Walmart employees saying that it’s ok. It’s kinda embarrassing to do, but I do it anyway for my clients..
Well… apparently today was the day. 😂
A woman stopped, stared at me, and then proceeded to tell me that what I was doing was NOT okay, that I clearly had no respect for other people, that I was “disgusting,” that I was spreading disease, AND that she was going to report me to the authorities. 😳
While we waited for a manager, she also took multiple pictures of me, presumably to post online somewhere. So that was fun. 😭
The manager eventually came over and confirmed that what I was doing was okay. At that point, though, I was so worked up that I didn’t even finish picking out my strawberries. I grabbed what I had and left.
Y’all, I DO NOT do confrontation like this. 😂 My hands are still literally shaking. I’m just over here trying to make a beautiful box of chocolate-covered strawberries for my customer and somehow ended up in the Great Walmart Strawberry Scandal of 2026. 🍓💀
So, if you happen to see my face getting blasted around the internet for picking pretty strawberries at Walmart… please stick up for your local macaron lady. 😂😭
