A big milestone on the farm this week—our American Bresse chicks have officially graduated from the brooder to the coop! 🐥🐓

Five years ago, we moved to Charles County with a dream: to build a modern homesteading lifestyle and create something meaningful for our family and community.
Nestled off Route 381 near Aquasco on our 3.81-acre farm, we’ve worked tirelessly to turn that dream into reality. Being located in an agricultural conservation zone has given us the opportunity and freedom to pursue farming in a way that aligns with our values of sustainability, self-reliance, and responsible land stewardship.
What makes this journey even more special is that it has been built by just the two of us. My husband balances a full-time job while I manage our farm and business as a stay-at-home mom. Every coop, fence, garden bed, and farm project has been planned, built, and maintained by our own hands—without outsourcing or outside help.
Today, our farm is home to a large flock of chickens representing a wide variety of breeds. We are especially proud to raise Bresse chickens, known worldwide for their exceptional quality. Our birds are pasture-raised, fed non-GMO feed, and given the best care possible because we believe healthy, happy animals produce the highest-quality food.
Alongside our livestock, we’re continually expanding our vegetable-growing efforts and working toward a more productive and sustainable farm each season.
