Sugar Cookie Decorating Classes in McLean, Virginia! Learn the Basics of Cookie Decorating! It's our way of sharing our passion with a new group of to-be bakers.

We started Sugar Cookie Classes so we could share our passion for cookies with our friends and neighbors right here in Northern Virginia. Corrie found a love for cookies a few years ago (but has been eating them since a very young age) and has since grown to share her passion for all things sugar cookies with friends and family and hopefully with you! 🎄 Easy trees-y lemon squeezy chocolate Christmas trees!
What you'll need:

🟢 Green Chocolate Wafers
🟢 Christmas Sprinkles
🟢 Pretzel Sticks
🟢 Ziplock Bag
🟢 Scissors
🟢 Parchment Paper

Step 1: Melt that chocolate down so we can put it in our ziplock bag!
Step 2: Seal up the bag and cut a small hole in the corner of the zip lock bag.
Step 3: Place a pretzel stick down on your parchment paper and begin to squeeze the bag of chocolate overtop the pretzel in a tree pattern.
Step 4: Lastly, add some sprinkles quickly and let dry!

Eat them by themselves or make them as cupcake toppers this holiday season!

😳 There's a ton of bakery tech out there - and a fan favorite is Eddie, an edible food printer - you read that right.

It prints edible ink directly onto sugar cookies!

🖐️ Hi! I'm Corrie - if you've come to a class before, nice to see you again! If you're new here - allow me to introduce myself.

I've been decorating sugar cookies for years now - it's been a relaxing venture for me (🥣 although, if you've tried to stir up royal icing, "relaxing" is debatable).

🍪 I really enjoy teaching people all about sugar cookies- whether you're just out for a fun experience on a Saturday or you'd considered selling cookies - there's somethin' for everyone at Sugar Cookie Classes!

👀 A look at a class setup!

👉 We start with intros (lol - it's fun, I promise!)
👉 Then we talk about techniques to fix problems (icing problems - not life problems lol)
👉 Piping practice lets us get the "feel for the flow" of icing on a paper.
👉 Then we walk through your cookie playlist!
👉 After that, it's decoratin' time!

Class is 1.5 hours long - and it FLIES by! But you'll walk away with a completed set and fun pics to show off to friends!

Learn the basics to sugar cookie decorating without the stress! We handle the hard part, you learn to decorate.

👍 Rule of thumb - Plan ahead! Classes typically fill up 15 days prior to the class date. Once filled, we rarely have cancelations, but you can sign-up for the waitlist!

(note - 😭 unfortunately, we're sold out for 2022, but you can still join a class waitlist!)

Pro-Tip: Bring an apron! 😍 The funnier the better - loved when the Golden Girls joined us back in February!

😂 Aprons aren't required - but - hey, icing tends to be a delicious mess!

🎃 are you team candy corn or team "gross"?!

Did you know - To create that striped effect, the candy corn batter is poured in three phases. First, they do white, followed by the yellow and the orange. Then, they finish the candies with confectioners glaze to give each candy its characteristic shine.

😀 DIY = do it yourself, at home!

👉 Practicing the class at home after you take it and decorate together. But you can *add* a DIY Kit to take home after class!

Great for:
👉 Practicing the class at home after you take is.
👉 Getting a kit to entertain the kids at home later!
👉 Taking to friends for an at-home cookie class retaught by you!
👉 Piping icing directly into your mouth and tell your partner they didn't include icing, but here are some unfrosted cookies. 😂
