Shop black-owned brands at H-E-B, like Vicky Cakes Pancake & Waffle Mix made in Plano, Texas. Lovingly named after Christian’s mother, Vicky, this pancake and waffle mix recipe was a staple on the breakfast table. Vicky, a single mom of four, would whip up her children’s favorite light and fluffy pancakes every weekend. With the encouragement of her husband Courtney, Christian turned this recipe into a line of mixes found on the shelves at H-E-B.

We are committed to extending a helping hand, especially in times of need. H-E-B has committed $1 million to nonprofits in support of the Los Angeles Wildfire Recovery efforts. Additionally, H-E-B sent six truckloads of essentials to support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank with urgently needed items such as water, food, masks, hygiene kits, and other supplies.

The 145,000 sq. ft, multi-level H-E-B SoCo is NOW OPEN at 2400 S. Congress. The grand opening follows a complete rebuild of H-E-B’s longest-standing Austin location and is double the size of the original location’s most recent footprint. On this Veterans Day, we take a moment to honor and celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served our nation.

Through H-E-B Operation Appreciation, in partnership with Homes For Our Troops and other dedicated nonprofits, we’re proud to have provided over 50 specially adapted, mortgage-free, fully furnished homes for severely injured veterans and their families across Texas. It’s our way of giving back to those who’ve given so much for our freedom.

Our 50th home build, recently gifted to the McGhghy family in Temple, TX, is part of H-E-B’s Homes Built for Heroes program—a reflection of our gratitude and commitment to our veterans.

Last week, the Today Show made it’s way to Texas and H-E-B had the privilege of hosting the Weslaco Venom Women’s Flag Football Team on the H-E-B Terrace at The Long Center for the Performing Arts.

As communities along the East Coast begin to rebuild after Hurricane Helene, H-E-B has mobilized to provide needed support to residents and nonprofits responding in hard-hit areas.

Inspired by our Spirit of Giving and Helping Here philosophies, H-E-B will make a $500,000 donation and send several truckloads of product to help with Feeding America’s disaster relief efforts. Along with the monetary donation, the truckloads of products will include shelf-stable food, water, baby items, and other essentials. Additionally, we also are working with our suppliers to provide further support.

Since this devastating storm began, H-E-B has been in close contact with area nonprofits and Feeding America to support their critical outreach. We will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with Feeding America and other area nonprofits there to help with additional needs as they arise.
