This was my attempt at making a Snickerdoodle “toilet paper roll” cake for my dad’s birthday a while back. It definitely wasn’t the prettiest cake I’ve ever made, and it’s not my best work, but it was made with love, laughter, and a very specific sense of humor. 😂
I’m sharing this because I want to be honest. I’m not perfect. I have days when I know I can do better, days when things don’t go my way, and days when I feel defeated and just want to go cry in a corner.
I’m still learning. Sometimes I look at something I’ve made and realize it didn’t turn out the way I pictured it in my head. When that happens, it doesn’t leave my kitchen. I may have to start over once or twice, but I’ll make sure your order is ready on time, and that it’s something I’m proud to put my name on.
I’m my own worst critic, and when I feel discouraged, I think about my son.
He has faced some of the darkest days imaginable, but he never gave up. He kept going and showed us what strength and resilience really look like.
Because of him, I’ve learned that hard days don’t mean the story is over.
So, I’m not giving up on my dream either! I’ll keep learning, practicing, improving, and showing up because Moya Coop and Confections is built with love, purpose, family, and determination.
I’m grateful for everyone who has supported my little bakery by ordering, sharing a post, leaving a kind comment, or simply cheering me on. Thank you! Your feedback and encouragement mean more to me than you probably realize.
I’m still growing. I’m still showing up.
And because of my son, I know this much for sure:
We don’t give up on the hard days. 💙
