Eswell Bakery

A name many in our town remember, Eswell Bakery was built by my Estes and Powell family and later run by my grandparents.

A limited menu for now, made with the same care and nostalgia you remember!

Some traditions never fade—and the Eswell Whipped Cream Cake is one that so many still remember and love.

Rich, classic, and made the way you remember, it’s the perfect centerpiece for any special occasion. If you’re planning to bring one to your next gathering, please be sure to place your order at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Sometimes when I’m working on these old Eswell recipes, I catch myself thinking, “I wonder how Great Grandpa Woodie did this? I know he didn’t do it like this!”

When I say I have the Eswell recipe, what I really mean is—I have the list of ingredients. The rest takes a lot of questions, a little trial and error, and sometimes accepting that parts of the process were simply lost to time.

Recreating these recipes is part baking, part history lesson, and a whole lot of love for keeping those memories alive.
