Chocolate is definitely my most popular cake flavor, and for good reason.
It is moist, tender, and not too sweet. As a bonus, the recipe translates well to be gluten and dairy-free🤩
With a marshmallow fluff topping, it reminds me of a Hostess Ding-Dong! I would highly recommend it as an allergen-friendly option for events.

May I introduce an upgrade for all your fall baking this year: toasted milk powder.
If you've used brown butter, toasted milk powder does the same thing. Mix some in with your dry ingredients to add a warm, caramelized flavor to your goodies🍂
We use it for our coffee macarons, brown butter chocolate scones, and the base for our brownies!
