This all started when I decided I wanted to make my own Christmas presents October 2011. I looked up homemade Christmas presents on the internet and a lot of fun projects showed up. There were so many options. I have been a crafter all my life. Whether it be latch hook and macrame as kid, or the more elaborate, artist, jewelery maker, baker and amateur seamstress as a teen and adult, it has always
appealed to me. I have my mother and grandmother to thank for that. I received a sewing machine from my mom and aunt in 2009 or 2010 for Christmas. I liked to sew but didn't really have time or the desire to do it. Once I decided felting wool sweaters was the thing for me, I pulled it out of my closet, dusted it off and started obsessively shopping at thrift stores. Every town I visited, I looked for wool sweaters. Soon my mother and aunt were sending my boxes of sweaters from California and Florida. My friends were donating their "oops" sweaters that were already felted, I had hundreds of sweaters! Two years later I am still on the look out for wool and cashmere. Always wanting to try new things and new projects, I realized I needed to get rid of all of the things I was making and did my first craft show last year at the TV6 Christmas Craft Show. This year being my second craft show, I am more confident and comfortable with the idea of selling my things. I hope to do a few more in 2014. Thanks to everyone for their support, especially my family who I sometimes ignore to sew and my mom who is my biggest fan and helper whenever I need her.
