It’s hot and I can’t stand right now due to an injury.
But with help
I did finish a wedding cake.

It was a recreation of Novembers cake. I was a bit annoyed the cake didn’t come out identical to the first one but thats creative expression!

They tasted awesome!

Finally, a reason to bake. Son asked for a chocolate cake with raspberry filling.
Here it is, Hershey’s cocoa cake and icing recipe on the can. Raspberry jam for the filling.
The angle makes it look crooked but it was not.
Love the sheen real butter gives the icing.

The holidays are upon us.
Chanukah starts Sunday, Christmas and Kwanza then the New Year.
What’s your favorite or traditional sweets, activities or traditions you enjoy?
I will be making biscotti for a work cookie exchange. I figured soemthing diffrent this time.
I will post photos.
And Yes, I do take orders when I can.

Latest creations for the bosses bday.
Lesson learned. Hard to decorate with fondant and regular butter icing.
But the attempt was honorable and the hat was a hit.
Hat is a Mets hat in rice crispy formed in a bowl. Yes, I know it’s not dark enough for the Mets. I could not get it to turn more without tasting like dye.
Cake is yellow with Hersheys icing and marshmallow fondant.
Boy they were a hit and tasted fabulous!

What have you made lately?
I am focusing on cookies itmes like shaved ice with fruit or fruit popsicles.
Someone at work brough cooked and they were incredible. A nice treat from someone else is always welcome!
