Beloved Establishment Temporarily Closes for Renovations After 20 Years in Business

SHREVEPORT, La — The Southern Maid Donuts N.Market beloved location is celebrating a significant milestone—20 years of serving up its famous donuts. To commemorate this anniversary, the store has temporarily closed its doors to undergo a long-overdue facelift.

The management team recognizes how hard it is to believe that two decades have passed since they first opened, but they’re eager to bring a fresh new look to the iconic spot.

They promised to reopen the doors as soon as possible!! And rest assured, Elvis won’t be leaving the building! 🍩

COOL 😎 FUN FACT: Elvis Presley's only commercial was for Southern Maid Donuts on November 6, 1954. The commercial aired during the Louisiana Hayride, a Shreveport, Louisiana show that launched the careers of many country musicians. Southern Maid Donuts was a major sponsor of the show.

I know it's hard to believe, but the North Market location has been open for 20 years now, and a facelift is long overdue. We'll be back open as soon as we possibly can. And we're looking forward to seeing you again.
