๐ค A Little Life Update from Lo's Sweet Treats ๐ค
If you've noticed I've been a little quieter lately, there's a good reason for it!
At 32 weeks pregnant with baby #4, keeping up with three kids, homeschooling, family life, and a bakery business has definitely had me slowing down these days. As I prepare for maternity leave in August and September, I've intentionally limited the number of custom orders I'm taking.
Earlier this year, I shared a post about stepping back from custom orders. At the time, I was feeling burned out and overwhelmed, and honestly, decorating custom cakes, cookies, and cupcakes wasn't bringing me the same joy it once had.
I needed that honesty with myself, and I needed that season of slowing down. But something unexpected happened. The more I stepped back, the more I realized how much I actually missed it.
I missed the creativity. I missed bringing your ideas to life. I missed being a small part of your birthdays, baby showers, weddings, graduations, and special celebrations.
Sometimes it takes taking a break from something you love to remember why you loved it in the first place.
So while I'm looking forward to welcoming our sweet baby and taking some much needed time with my family, I also want you to know that Lo's Sweet Treats isn't going anywhere. ๐ค
I'll be taking maternity leave during August and September, but I fully plan to return to creating custom cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and sweet treats once we've settled into our new routine.
Thank you for supporting me through every season, whether I'm baking dozens of custom orders or simply trying to keep up with life and motherhood. Your encouragement, referrals, orders, and kindness mean more than you'll ever know.
This season may look different, but I'm excited for what's ahead and can't wait to get back in the kitchen when the time is right.
Thank you for being here. ๐ค
