☘️ Quick Update ☘️

I apologize for the hiatus but a lot had to be weighed out . My priority has been to provide for my children and my own mental and well-being came first as burn out is very real and I could not continue down the path of sleepless nights in the bakery . A lot of healing had to be done .

Well I’m here to try to keep the dream alive . I’ve worked so hard over the last two years to keep this business alive through the toughest of times when I should have just shuttered my doors and given up.

I need you to understand that I have been working a full time job so answering everyone on several media sources has almost been impossible . I am confirming orders and scheduling tastings the next two weeks out . My office hours are Friday to Sunday so all queries will be responded to in their respective orders.

Pre orders for St. Patrick’s weekend and Easter will be up and live this weekend .
Please be patient with me as their are over 80 queries in queue and only one me .
On the interim I am trying to find financing for staff and reset the store front to reopen . The only way this can happen right now is with your help. Please find the link to the gofundme or if you’d like to buy a gift card you can find it on the website . Hopefully I can add our tshirts back for preorder soon.

I am sorry I could not get on here sooner to thank everyone who stopped by this weekend .

I had a lot of difficulties during the winter storm to include frozen pipes on Saturday which led to me freezing my behind off at 2am and hindering the donuts to proof for the store to open on time .

Well, on Sunday after the thaw I got hit at 1pm with two pipes flooding the back kitchen . For those who came in and didn’t see me it’s because I was in the basement scrambling and. searching for the main valve to shut it off . As of right now it’s still in need of repair . Nothing major but it will affect everything in the next couple days for prep.

That being said I am unsure of this weekend if I will be open . it all depends on repairs as we cannot function without water .

For all who have shared or donated to the gofund me thank you 🙏🏻. To everyone who purchased paintings from the talented thank you as well!

I am going to spend some time in the next few days coming up with ways to keep the business going without the retail end .

Classes both personal and group sessions will be available . Using the space for events will be a possibility as well. hopefully I can get the details and breakdown of the class curriculum to health for approval sooner than later .

For right now every cent counts to helping me on gofundme . Every day I am closed I am losing hundreds in revenue and it’s been almost 4 weeks and juggling a full time second job does not help the retail side of the bakery. But I also have to pay my own personal bills at the end of the day .

I am doing my best and trying not to shut down even with all these flames that keep adding to my dumpster fire that goes downhill daily.

I am keeping positive and will continue to fight to keep this little bakery open as long as I possibly can. Because of you.

I will hopefully update you by Thursday if we will be open to the public this weekend or not .

I wanted to write here and say Thank You 🙏🏻

A few weeks ago I was in transition to close my retail doors and continue working behind closed doors on personal orders and wholesale and try to deal with ongoing family issues.

I have been down with the flu the last 2.5 weeks and busy working full time at my second job due to the decline in sales for January on Elm Street.

Things have fallen quiet due to staff not giving two weeks notice and leaving when I needed them the most as I was dealing with a family emergency I could not manage the front on my own on top of being ill.

I am here praying for answers . The reasons can be found on my link to the gofundme on why I had to close the retail front.
This was my last resort but time is of the essence as grants take time and are a process in themselves and nothing has ever been in my favor to refinance and give this business the cushioning it needs .

I appreciate the time to read this 🙏🏻 and hope it gives a bigger picture to why I needed to step away for my children and to keep my second job as we need to have the roof we have over our heads.

Thank you all for being my most supported friends and customers. Without you all I would not have survived on Elm street 💕 and for that I will always be grateful.

Apologies for not posting this yesterday but I’ve got two sick kids to take care of .
I just had a baker walk off the job .
My other baker was not well the last three days and he is only now in full recovery mode .

Please know that we are short staffed so be patient with us .
This has been a awful cycle and I’m doing my best .

We will be restocked and ready to reopen tomorrow .

We will be corresponding with all queries today so if you are waiting on a response you can call the bakery to follow up if needed .
