🍂 A little summer. A little fall. A little Smith & Sons.

Just like that, autumn is here. We're looking forward to cozy soups and hearty breads, but if you're not quite ready to let go of summer — hopefully this week's menu will help bridge the gap. Check out our offerings below:
🍞 Pain de Mie
The softest sandwich loaf. Tender, versatile, and equally happy alongside butter and jam or dipped into a hearty stew. Its mild profile lets you take it sweet or savory — you decide.

🍋 Sourdough Lemon Basil Cookies
A new menu item inspired by the tastes of summer. Bright lemon + fragrant summer basil + a touch of sourdough tang, all rolled in basil sugar before baking. We affectionately call these “The Fruit Loop Cookie” because, according to the Smith & Sons crew, they somehow taste like a Fruit Loop. We promise that's a compliment.

Orders are open now through Monday evening, with pickup on Wednesday September 30th, from 4-6 pm.

🥖 Season II is here, Neighbor.

After a restful summer filled with family baking, seasonal harvests, garden inspiration, and plenty of recipe testing, Smith & Sons Baking Co. is officially back in the kitchen.

We’re kicking off Season II with the loaf that started it all: our signature Country Artisan Loaf (Pain au Levain), available in whole and mini sizes.

A few things will look a little different this season:

• New ordering system: We’ve moved to Simply Bread Co., where you can browse, order, and pay all in one place — with helpful order and pickup reminders. Cash and check will still be welcome.

• Every-other-week baking: We’re taking your Season I feedback to heart and spacing out our bake weeks so we can focus on producing the highest-quality bakes possible.

• A new freezer-friendly option: Pre-sliced, frozen loaves will be available at a discounted price for those who like to stock up and keep bread in the freezer.

Our first bake is Wednesday, September 16th, and orders are open now!

✨ FINAL BAKE WEEK ✨

It's hard to believe we’ve arrived at the final bake week of Smith & Sons very first season. 🤎

What started with a simple artisan country loaf turned into baking for so many wonderful families in our community.

This season has been fun, humbling, and far more meaningful than I ever expected. Thank you all for supporting this little home bakery with so much enthusiasm and kindness week after week. I will genuinely miss seeing your smiling faces at pickup over the summer months! ☀️

✨ SPECIAL RELEASE ✨

With just two more weeks left in Smith & Sons Bakery’s very first season, we decided to pull out all the stops and bring back one of the most requested bakes we’ve ever offered… 🤎

CINNAMON BABKA MINIS 🍞✨

Sweet enriched dough braided with a buttery cinnamon-sugar filling, baked until beautifully golden, and finished with a homemade sugar glaze. These little loaves are soft, tender, swirled with sticky cinnamon goodness, and perfect for gifting, sharing, or enjoying with your morning coffee. ☕🤍

Because babka is a labor-intensive bake, we rarely get to offer it — so this week we’re simplifying the menu and focusing entirely on this special release in hopes of making more available for everyone who has been asking for them all season long!

🤍 Thank You, Smith & Sons Friends 🤍

This week’s bakes were a joy to bring together — thank you to everyone who placed an order and made Breadfest so special for our little bakery.

We had the best time in the kitchen prepping all the details that went into your boxes… from laminating buttery croissants to mixing and folding in some really beautiful inclusions.

The fig + walnut loaves were filled with rich, jammy figs and toasted walnuts with a dash of black pepper, and the caramelized onion, gouda & herb loaves… the smell alone was worth it 🤤

Weeks like this are extra special — a full kitchen, full racks, and getting to share our love of bread with such a supportive community.

We’re grateful for you 🤍

🌿 Just a quick note — we’ll be closed next week for a family vacation, but will be back the following week with our regular schedule!

We hope everyone had a beautiful Easter weekend filled with good food, meaningful moments, and time with the people you love.

Our family is taking a short break this week for spring break, so there will be no menu or pickups — but we’ll be back to our normal rhythm next week!
