🍂 GOOD MORNING & HAPPY SUNDAY🍂

September is almost behind us, which means we are officially heading into one of my FAVORITE seasons of the year!

🍁 Fall is in the air… cooler temperatures, cozy evenings around the fire pit, s’mores, fuzzy blankets, and mentally preparing ourselves for ALL the upcoming holiday goodness! 🎃🍂🦃🎄

And this morning, we’ve been up bright and early in the kitchen doing what we love most — dreaming up, writing recipes and creating our FALL LINEUP! 🥖✨

The kitchen is smelling absolutely scrumptious today with:

…and friends, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! 👀🍁

We are officially entering our fall flavor era, and we’re bringing you all the cozy, comforting, dreamy flavors that make this season so special. From pumpkin and warm spices to apples, cranberries, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and MORE… there are some seriously delicious things happening behind the scenes at The Bread BOULE Bakehouse! 🤎

The Bread Boule Bakehouse will be at the Arboretum TOMORROW, and although we absolutely loved our little vacation this past week, we are SO excited to see all of your smiling faces again! 🥰

We know there is A LOT happening in Lubbock this weekend — the fair, and of course, a home game for our Texas Tech Red Raiders! ❤️🖤🏈 But don’t let the busy weekend stop you from making a little morning outing to grab some fresh sourdough bread, a yummy treat, and say hello!

🌴 And just like that… VACATION DAY 6! 🇲🇽☀️
Our departure day is getting closer and, as wonderful as this break from the everyday hustle has been, I’m not gonna lie… this sourdough girl is ready to get back in her kitchen! 😂🥖

I’ve watched bread-making videos on vacation.
I’ve watched the bakers here at the resort doing their thing.
I’ve talked sourdough with my sourdough friends.
And yes… I’ve probably thought about bread WAY more than the average person on vacation. 🤣

Apparently, you can take the baker out of the kitchen, but you can’t take the baker out of the baker! ❤️

I cannot WAIT to get home, fire up the kitchen, get those hands back in some dough and start creating all the sourdough goodness again! 🍞✨

Today, though, we’re going to soak up every single “last” this vacation has to offer. One more sunrise, one more pool day, one more ocean breeze, one more slow morning…
And speaking of sunrise… 🌅 I’m about to head out and catch it!

Apparently Vacation Day 5 was meant to test my anxiety level. 😂😂
Because apparently, if there was a place near our pool cabana where an iguana COULD be… THERE WAS. 🦎
And then… because apparently that wasn’t enough excitement for one day… there was a SNAKE IN THE SWIMMING POOL. 🐍😳
And I’m about 99.9% sure that same stupid snake decided to come slithering past our cabana too. Like, sir… THIS IS A RESORT. You have your own habitat. Please stay in it. 😂
Needless to say, we decided the ocean was looking mighty peaceful, so we packed ourselves up and headed that way for a little while so my anxiety could come back down to a reasonable level. 🌊😂
All in all… it really was a good day. ❤️ But whew… the wildlife was doing the MOST today!
Apparently, I came to Mexico for relaxation and got the full nature documentary experience. 😂🦎🐍

📣 Lubbock & surrounding areas — I’m looking for some recommendations!

I’d love to connect with event organizers, market coordinators, festivals, wineries, venues, fundraisers, and local businesses that host vendor events in the Lubbock area and surrounding communities.

As The Bread BOULE Bakehouse continues to grow, I’m looking to be more intentional about the events I participate in moving forward. I’m especially interested in events that limit the number of vendors offering the same type of product/category, so that each small business has a fair opportunity to serve the customers who come out to support local.

I absolutely LOVE being part of our local vendor community, and I believe there is plenty of room for everyone to succeed. At the same time, as a small artisan bakery, I spend a LOT of time, money, and energy preparing for these events, and I want to make sure I’m choosing events where there is variety, thoughtful vendor curation, and a true effort to support each individual small business. ❤️

So… help a local baker out! 🥖😂

☀️🥖 Happy Sunday from The Bread BOULE Bakehouse! 🥖☀️

I hope everyone is having a beautiful, peaceful Sunday and getting a little time to slow down, enjoy your people, and maybe enjoy something yummy along the way. ❤️

And since we’re talking about yummy… here’s a little SOURDOUGH REHEATING TIP for you!

One thing about sourdough is that it can get a little more firm as it sits. But don’t worry—you can bring that soft, fresh-baked texture right back! 🙌🏻

🥖 For a whole loaf or ciabatta buns:
Simply mist lightly with water and place in a preheated 425° oven for about 10–15 minutes.
🥪 For easy sandwich bread or ciabatta sandwiches:
Slice your bread, lightly butter it, and place it face-down in a preheated pan or electric frying pan. Give it a light mist of water, cover, and let it warm for about 10 minutes. This helps soften that bread right back up!

🔥 And YES—you can use your air fryer too! Just keep an eye on it so you don’t overdo it.
And speaking of easy sandwiches… 👀👇🏻
