Baking in the Eastern Shore was totally different…. No scale, no measuring, all by feel. No bannetons, no lames, all in a super basic kitchen and tools and yet I couldn’t stop experimenting.

Introducing the Chesapeake Cheddar, inspiration from my time on the Eastern Shore at Silver Beach! It was sooooo good with the steamed clams from , I didn’t even have time to snap a pic of our dinner!

Should I make this loaf for all my Colorado lovers of ?

So far my starter has been on 2 planes, a train, a bus, Ubers and have crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel…. Let’s see what vacation inspiration comes back to the bread chest!

has some interesting seasoning mixes and I obviously had to try making a dill pickle loaf for all my dill pickle lovers out there! Adding in the last of my freezer stash of dill from , and voila, a dill pickle dill loaf was born.

Too weird or too delicious not to try? You tell me.

Sometimes I don’t have enough dough from one flavor to make a whole loaf, which is why you sometimes find the Frankenstein Loaves in the Bread Chest.

sweet red bean, a uniformly loved ingredient across many Asian cuisines.

The paste, Made out of blended organic adzuki beans, organic sugar, and a pinch of salt, it’s so easy and delicious.
