Happy 24th anniversary to my favorite person. ❤️

Everyone who knows us knows how hard this man works. The farm, the projects, the animals, the never-ending to-do list… he gives so much of himself to making this life we’ve dreamed about a reality.

But as much as I admire his work ethic, that’s not what makes me love him most.

It’s the man he is when nobody is watching. The way he shows up for our family. The way he carries responsibilities without making a big deal about them. The way he keeps going when things are hard. The dreams we’ve built together, the life we’ve made, and all the little moments in between that have nothing to do with farming.

We’ve built a lot together, and we’re still building. But my favorite thing we’ve built isn’t the farm. It’s this life, this family, and all the years we’ve gotten to share.

I’m thankful I get to do this life with you. And if I had it to do all over again, I’d still choose you. ❤️

Happy anniversary, baby. I love you more than all the things you do, and I’m so glad I get to be the one beside you while we do them.

So many drawings, dreams, thoughts, and plans that took place in our minds and on paper for YEARS. And it’s finally starting to look like What we envisioned.

It’s officially fall! Not only did September 22nd usher in the new season, but the weather promptly announced it last week! And for us at Greenview Farms, we’ve been prepping for it since July, when this year’s batch of thanksgiving turkey poults arrived. Each year, we look forward to partnering with families to provide a beautiful, tasty, healthy, and ethically raised bird for your Thanksgiving tables.

For the first few weeks as poults, the turkeys stay indoors in their brooder that keeps them warm and close to water. After they finish developing their adult feathers, they get moved to the pasture where they happily graze and get rotated every day. Along with foraging natural grasses and bugs, our turkeys are fed the absolute best locally-milled grain. GVF only uses MuleCity feeds out of Benson, NC who supplies us with an excellent non-GMO poultry feed. We like this feed so much, we use it year around with our pasture raised chickens and well.

We tell you all of that so that you know where your bird comes from, how it was raised, and what has been put inside of it. As a side note, none of our turkeys are ever given antibiotics of any kind or any other chemicals. And, when you get it, you can be sure it hasn’t been injected with any kind of filler either.

For four years now, GVF has been proud to partner with families and their tables to provide a delicious turkey for their thanksgiving meal. For the fifth year, we will be offering a limited supply of pasture raised, non-gmo fed, and rotationally grazed turkeys. These turkeys are freshly processed the week of thanksgiving and never frozen.

Here’s the catch, once our turkeys are gone, they are gone! We only raise about twenty birds a year so that we ensure the absolute best care and attention. So, don’t wait! A $40 deposit is all that is required to reserve your bird. The balance will be charged at pickup according to the finished weight.

We’re grateful that you have chosen us in the past and hope you will once again find a place for us at your table!

Our newest cow Molasses had her calf💙

Molasses has always lived on a small scale dairy— so her calves have always been taken away from her pretty quickly. I’m really excited to let her keep her calf this time🥰. I’m really hoping she settles into raising a calf and being milked. So far so good!

Once she settles into milking we will give Honey a much needed break. She’s been in milk for well over a year now and won’t have another calf until January.
