Day 96 of my . I’m working with a new set of Derwent XL tinted charcoal. I thought I’d try it out on a piece of Canson velvet paper. Big surprise- I loved it!!

Join Tracy Loring for an imaginative watercolor workshop, on Sunday, June 7, 10:30-11:30am where children explore the idea of spirit animals. Using simple watercolor techniques, kids will create colorful, expressive paintings while learning about shapes, textures, and color blending.

Day 95 of my . I’m trying out Derwent XL water soluble graphite on New York Central 140 lb watercolor block. It was a lovely evening so I did this outside. I’m a fan of these blocks!

Day 94 of my . Today I’m using Derwent XL charcoal on Canson Mi Tientes paper. I love using these big blocks and they work really well on this textured paper. I’m thinking about music and the joy and impact it brings to my life. Worship. 🫶🏼

Day 93 of my . I’m using the Lyra water soluble graphite again today but this time on a 140 lb New York Central hot press watercolor block. Much better! Grief was a theme for me today and I just realized it’s also Memorial Day. Fitting for a day when we remember and honor those who have fallen in service to our country.
