This is Lola Lene’s BEAUTIFUL mama, Lola Dorothea aka Lola Doty. Just learned today that Lola Doty and her siblings were orphaned at a young age in the Philippines, which left her to take charge and care for her younger siblings—two sisters and two brothers. She became a seamstress and eventually started her own small store, designing ready to wear children’s clothes. She surely passed on this “hustle hard” mentality to Lola Lene, who can literally do it all—sewing, designing, gardening, cooking and BAKING, which has always been her sweet spot. Fast forward to today. It’s amazing to finally understand why sitting still is so challenging. 😂 That hustle runs deep, passed on to me and and we’re most definitely passing it on to Gracie.
Yesterday was Gracie and Lola’s third pop up (THANK YOU again , for sharing your space and for the opportunity to set up shop) with the most pre-orders she has received to date and she sold out of all the extra goodies in under an hour! 🙌🏽 We are so incredibly grateful for family who drove out from as far as Rancho Cucamonga, Chino and West Covina and new customers who pre-ordered and/or made it just in time to purchase some treats before they were all gone.
We’ve always known Lola had it in her. Thank you for all of your support, for your orders, for posting and sharing feedback, for sharing Lola’s treats with friends and family and for helping Lola to realize, even after retirement, what we’ve been trying to convince her of all along! 🥰 It’s never too late to use and share the gifts and talents you’ve been blessed with to bring and spread joy the best way that you know how.
