🚨 A Sad Day at Cozy Koz 🥖💀

Well… I have some unfortunate news from the Cozy Koz kitchen. 😭 My sourdough starter has officially died. She fought a good fight, but unfortunately, she has left us. 🫡🥖

I knew she had been getting a little weaker, so I was trying my best to strengthen her before I had to be away for a few days. I made sure she was properly fed and tucked away in the fridge while I was gone, thinking she’d be okay until I got home.

Unfortunately… by the time I got back, she had passed. 😭💀 Apparently even the fridge couldn’t save her.

I’m currently working on a brand-new starter, but as we all know, sourdough does NOT care about our timelines. 😂 It could be a little while before she’s strong, active, and ready to get back to work.

Because of this, orders are currently paused until she is back up, alive, and bubbling! 🫧🥖 I’ll post an update as soon as she’s officially back in business and ready to make some bread.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding! 🤎 Please send some good starter vibes my way because we are really going to need them. 😂

RIP to Doughlores. You will be missed. 🥲🍞

Hey friends! 👋

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately. Life has been keeping me busy, and we have some exciting news to share… meet Toad! 🐶🍄

In about a week and a half, we’ll be bringing home our 8-week-old Husky/Dalmatian mix, Toad, and we’re so excited! The cats have no idea their world is about to be turned upside down, so wish them (and us 😅) luck!

Because my personal life has been so busy lately, I’m going to be skipping an August Flavor of the Month. But don’t worry—I will still be accepting orders from my regular menu all month long, so all of your Cozy Koz favorites will still be available!

Thank you all so much for your patience, support, and understanding. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and can’t wait to share a brand-new Flavor of the Month with you in September!

Less than one week until Second Saturdays Lorain! 🎉

The prep is officially underway, and my Costco cart is proof. 😅

Over the next few days, I’ll be turning all of these ingredients into fresh sourdough loaves, bagels, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and mini loaf flights for the event. There are a lot of early mornings and late nights ahead, but I can’t wait to share everything I’ve been working on with you!
