For those wondering… Doughy Parton is alive and well! 😂🍞 She’s been hanging out, getting her life together, and secretly working on something that’s salty, cheesy, golden, and has a little twist to it. 👀

There won’t be a Flavor of the Month for September due to the crazy that has been this month! but don’t worry—we’ll be back in October with something delicious that may or may not involve a certain bakery classic getting a Cozy Koz sourdough makeover. 🤫

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY… ORDERS ARE OFFICIALLY BACK UP! 🎉🍞

Your favorite Cozy Koz classics are ready to be ordered again while Doughy prepares for her October debut. 💅🏼

🎶 Dolly Parton is alive and well, y’all! 🎶
…in the form of a sourdough starter. 😂🍞

After the tragic loss of my previous starter, I’m VERY excited to announce that I think we have a new girl in town. Her name? Doughy Parton. 🤠✨

She’s been rising with every feeding for the past three feedings, and last night after a fresh feeding, she more than DOUBLED by 6 AM! 👀🍞 She’s been putting in her 9 to 5, and ideally, that means she’s ready for the big leagues!

Tomorrow we’re doing some test dough, and if all goes well, she’ll get her debut bake on Monday! 🤞

She may not have a Coat of Many Colors, but she’s already bringing plenty of personality to the kitchen. 😂 And Jolene… please don’t take Doughy away from me. I’ve been through enough. 😂

Please send all the good sourdough vibes her way because I am NOT emotionally prepared to lose another starter. 😭

🚨 A Sad Day at Cozy Koz 🥖💀

Well… I have some unfortunate news from the Cozy Koz kitchen. 😭 My sourdough starter has officially died. She fought a good fight, but unfortunately, she has left us. 🫡🥖

I knew she had been getting a little weaker, so I was trying my best to strengthen her before I had to be away for a few days. I made sure she was properly fed and tucked away in the fridge while I was gone, thinking she’d be okay until I got home.

Unfortunately… by the time I got back, she had passed. 😭💀 Apparently even the fridge couldn’t save her.

I’m currently working on a brand-new starter, but as we all know, sourdough does NOT care about our timelines. 😂 It could be a little while before she’s strong, active, and ready to get back to work.

Because of this, orders are currently paused until she is back up, alive, and bubbling! 🫧🥖 I’ll post an update as soon as she’s officially back in business and ready to make some bread.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding! 🤎 Please send some good starter vibes my way because we are really going to need them. 😂

Hey friends! 👋

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately. Life has been keeping me busy, and we have some exciting news to share… meet Toad! 🐶🍄

In about a week and a half, we’ll be bringing home our 8-week-old Husky/Dalmatian mix, Toad, and we’re so excited! The cats have no idea their world is about to be turned upside down, so wish them (and us 😅) luck!

Because my personal life has been so busy lately, I’m going to be skipping an August Flavor of the Month. But don’t worry—I will still be accepting orders from my regular menu all month long, so all of your Cozy Koz favorites will still be available!

Thank you all so much for your patience, support, and understanding. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and can’t wait to share a brand-new Flavor of the Month with you in September!
