✨ A Little Story of Faith & Flour ✨
This week, “Faith & Flour” became very real in our kitchen. Our trusty sourdough starter — the one that’s fed hundreds of loaves — suddenly turned pink and had to be thrown out. Total baker’s nightmare.
Thankfully, I found a little bit of discard tucked away in the fridge. I scooped it into a clean jar, added flour and water, and waited… and waited… praying it would come back to life.
Days passed with no activity. With Thanksgiving orders rolling in, I’ll be honest; I was stressed.
Then my husband did something simple but powerful: he laid hands on the jar and prayed over it. Sounds a little silly, but we believed God cared even about the small things.
And y’all… 24 hours later we came home to find the jar overflowing, lid popping off. It had risen from barely a quarter full to spilling over with life. (See picture)
It was such a sweet reminder that sometimes God gives us little “winks” even in simple things like sourdough starters just to show He’s with us in every detail.
