Made with love...
I was talking with my husband about the fact that you can really tell when something was made with love. And it’s because whoever made that specific thing, they made it with joyfully. I love baking for my family and friends. I even like cooking for them too! It’s become a “love language” for me. When my son says “mmmmm nummy!” (He’s trying to say yummy) or my husband says “wooooo-ee!” I feel like I’ve won some sort of award! Today a few of the many things I’m thankful are the fact that God has blessed me with the ability to bake, a family to bake for, and the home to bake in. Whatever we do, let’s do it with joy, as unto the Lord. Happy thanksgiving! 🍁

Have you ever wanted to do something and think “that’s way too hard” before you even try it? That was me with sourdough... I wanted to try my hand at sourdough for about a year and then my MIL encouraged me to just do it! It turns out that sourdough is not as complicated as it seems! The instructions seemed daunting but a lot of the time that it requires it’s you waiting for the starter to double or the dough to rise. I love that I get to make this for my family and my boys will grow up eating something I learned how to do before they could even notice it. Also, it’s a lot healthier for you than store bought bread! I may have used this as a free pass to eat too much 🤣

We didn’t get to have the party we had originally planned for Philly’s first birthday but I just had to make sure we had all the best desserts for the day. Thank the Lord our family helped us eat them! Can you tell what the theme is?? 🤣
We had chocolate bundt cakes with Oreo buttercream, funfetti cupcakes with marshmallow frosting, rice crispy treats with who’re chocolate drizzle, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, and banana cream pie cups. SUGAR OVERLOAD! Haha! Philly’s favorite was the chocolate cake 🤤
