To say my love of cooking & baking came honest, would be an understatement. Many of my recipes are family recipes, most of which I grew up making with my Mom. It’s not just my recipes that have come from family though; a lot of the things I cook with are as well. Tonight I cooked soup in a Dutch oven gifted to me by my late Aunt Barbara, a soup that my late Nana made often—every time we visited we coudn’t leave without her giving us a gallon she had frozen. The cornbread is my mom’s recipe and cooked in my late Nana’s cast iron skillet. I love the memories that come from being in the kitchen ❤️
