About 5 years ago I started hearing some really good things about eating bread from fresh ground wheat. After a lot of research and making sure it was returnable, I bought a grain mill! I had read how much better it tastes, but, considering how taste is subjective, I wasn't convinced. Mostly, I use hard white wheat, which makes a very flavorful white bread. Most commercial breads and flours in t

he store are made from hard red wheat, which has a stronger healthier taste. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just that white bread is popular for a reason...you know what I'm saying. Recently my daughter and I decided to put up a booth at a local farmers market. Most bought a loaf after tasting, even if they hadn't planned on it walking up. So, I decided to start this page to pass on some of the information I learned researching the benefits of fresh ground flour as opposed to all-purpose.
