My favorite sous chef spent some time polishing his decorating skills on the family cookies while I handled the dishes and prepared sugar cookies. I am so excited to tackle the sugar cookie trees tomorrow!

Cookies are everywhere. I am likely on a permanent sugar high, but all of my cutouts have been baked. Although my peppermint candy canes have puffed up a bit, they are incredibly delicious and thats what counts. This evening, I will be decorating all these mouth watering goodies.

It has been a productive day. Two batches of grinch cookies are baked and ready for white chocolate drizzle, while two batches of gingerbread are prepared for rolling and cutting tomorrow. Also, two batches of sugar cookies who will get the same treatment. Also, two batches of peppermint candy canes, not pictured, have been twisted and are ready for baking.

It's officially cozy food season, and I'm kicking it off with two dozen brown butter cream cheese pumpkin cupcakes and two dozen cinnamon rolls that are basically a hug in pastry form. And don't worry, I've got my priorities straight - I always make sure to save a few for quality control 😜. Good thing these babies are boxed up and ready for pick up tomorrow or they would be gone!
