Made this dessert on a whim tonight and it’s too good not to share! It’s a blondie with ice cream & peanut butter sauce! What should i call it?!
Chewy Blondies
Ingredients (makes :
• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
• 2 cups light brown sugar, packed
• 2 large eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment.
2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
6. Spread batter evenly in the pan.
7. Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center (a toothpick should come out with just a few moist crumbs).
8. Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
Ingredients:
• ½ cup creamy peanut butter
• ½ cup heavy cream
• ⅓ cup brown sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together peanut butter, cream, and brown sugar until smooth and melty.
2. Bring just to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
3. Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
4. Let it cool slightly — it’ll thicken as it stands but should stay pourable and glossy.
