Black Santa Lexington 2025 Recap:
On October 21st I released my first ever children Christmas book titled “Just Like Me - The Incredible Story of How Little Bobby Met Black Santa”, published thru Barnes & Noble. FYI, the book is still available for purchase right now at barnesandnoble.com Also this book is just part 1 of a 3 part series and the following parts will be released over the next 2 years.
Public Black Santa appearances started on Small Business Saturday, November 28th and ended with the grand finale at The Historic Lyric Theatre on Saturday, December 20th. There were a grand total of 20 appearances this year. 12 public appearances and 8 private events. My team and I also started a few new traditions this year that we cannot wait to see expand in the future, such as the Pajama StoryTime at the Hamburg location Barnes & Noble, BarberShop Saturday, and participating in Gatton Parks Winter Village.
Also, this year’s 3rd Annual Black Santa Experience was simply overwhelmingly amazing. We stepped it up a few notches and moved Black Santa to the big stage, filling the auditorium, lobby and still had a small line outside. I know because I was walking around “incognegro” thru the crowd inside and outside before I came out on stage lol. That was an interesting and eye opening experience that I’ve never done before. I lost count after purchasing well over 500 gift that were given out FREE to all those babies that came out to see Lexington’s Official Black Santa. Shout out to everyone that helped make this effort possible. From my the bags of toys that were dropped off to the monetary donations this would not have been possible without your love and support!
Shoutout to the parents of Black Santa’s special little babies who came out to see me multiple times this year and supported me in more ways that I can acknowledge with words. Carter, who’s been rocking with me since he was still drooling in front of the plexiglass during the “Covid” year for being the first to read my book! Jensen for being my very first baby EVER back when I had the $20 Walmart suit and has NEVER missed a year and still lets me cradle him like a baby for pics lol. My little bestie Emiah for always showing up and showing out whenever she sees me.
Shoutout to my family, my big sister Froncitta aka the Head Elf, my God Daughter Kelasia, my niece aka Elf Montazia, my 3 sons aka the cameraman in training, my personal assistant/right hand man Jo and lastly the littlest elf that thinks he’s in charge but struggles to keep our family Santa secret lol. My siblings that show up and “clear my path” when I call and are always helping out behind the scenes. My friend who’s like a brother AJ aka my main photographer since day one, my ride or die my frat brother Curt and my cousin Amanda for being my amazing backup photographers.
Lastly, shout to the beautiful Mrs. Claus for putting up with the craziness and almost insane level of devotion I have for this every year. This woman literally loses her husband from the day after Halloween til the Saturday before Christmas and has to deal with me completely being Black Santa full time until it’s over lol. Without her love, support and understanding I would not be able to do any of this. Also, yall pray for me because she might not be that understanding when she sees these bank statements lol. If I left anyone out charge it to my head not my heart.
Can’t wait for next year to do it again, bigger and better than ever before! So Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and yall be safe out there!
