I've been pretty surprised and honestly, a little hurt, by some of the messages I've received lately regarding my business donating sweets to an upcoming event in town. For those of you who know me, you know my faith in Jesus is a huge part of who I am. I believe wholeheartedly in God, and that only He has the right to judge. I am no one to judge others; I accept anyone and everyone because that’s what Jesus would do.
My decision to donate some treats was simply an act of kindness, just like I would for any other community event or group that asks for support. I'm not attending the show myself as I have other commitments that day, and my involvement truly goes no further than providing some sweets. Also, to be clear, my kids will not be attending, and I would not allow my children to attend – that's my choice as a parent. However, anyone who wants their children to attend or wishes to attend themselves is absolutely more than welcome to. My business is here to serve everyone in our community, and my faith teaches me love and compassion, not judgment.
