First Responders are very dear to me! With a sister being a fire fighter and my dad being a police officer I have the upmost respect for these men and woman. That’s why I count it a joy when I’m able to make some sweet treats for them!
I really enjoyed making these fire helmets, jackets and hoses and look forward to making more sweets for our first responders!

Wow it’s been a super busy week with Graduation! But in the mix I made some sweet treats for a principal retiring and boy did they turn out great! Sugar cookies, mini cookie cakes and brownie cakes!

This past weekend was pretty busy but not so much with orders. My boys joint bday party was this past Saturday and so I didn’t want to take too may orders. Unfortunately, with so much going on I forgot to get a picture of their sweets. But I did get a picture of 2 orders! One of another joint birthday party and one for a Ronaldo theme birthday party!

The joint party was a mamma was celebrating all three of her kids bdays since the were all in a month of each other! We did half tea party theme for her sweet girl and half baseball theme for her sweet boys! I think these turned out super cute!!

The other was a boy who loves soccer and Ronaldo! I enjoyed doing these soccer themed cookies!

Grad Cookie Order from last week!

Long story warning! But worth a read I think 😊

Last week was a pretty busy week with orders for a shower, Mother’s Day and a birthday. I was pretty full and not really accepting any more orders. Friday rolled around and around 11am I received a message with inspo pics for grad cookies and a message that asked if she could get grad cookies for the next day at 2pm. My first thought was that is really last minute and I really don’t have the time. Then I saw the next message and picture. The message read “These are the inspo pics I sent and this is what I just picked up…”. (Not including the picture of what she got because that’s not what this post is about). Then a crying emoji. Looking at what she was expecting to what she got I would be crying to. Not only were the cookies not similar to what she wanted but even the colors were wrong and it looked thrown together. I felt so bad, but I knew I could not do all the detail that were in the inspo pics and I let her know that. She responded if there was anything grad related I could do. Just something or anything! I felt that desperate plea through those messages and for a moment I put myself in her shoes and thought about what if that were me. What if it was my daughter expecting these beautiful cookies and to open the box and realize the cookies were nothing close to what she was hoping for. I would hope there would be one person that would come to my rescue. So my mamma heart could not say no and so I said yes. I had less than 24 hours to make and decorate 24 cookies. To say I had the confidence that I could to it is an understatement. I just wanted to help a mom that was desperate and so I was going to do and give my best. I worked on them that night and all morning till 2pm when her daughter came to pick them up. I handed the daughter her cookies and I said I hope these are better. To see her face light up and smile was all I needed to say it was worth all the time and effort I put into them! She was very happy and pleased. The cookies below are what I was able to produce in less than 24 hours. Am I proud in how they turned out? Maybe a little but not so much. I knew they could have been even better. But I’m proud in what I was able to do in the time given and proud that I was able to turn a heartbreaking situation into a joy with cookies! That’s what makes me happy! Making people happy with cookies 🍪
Her mom messaged me later and thanked me so many times and let me know they all loved the cookies! It all started with just wanting to help a mom and I’d do it all over 😊

In the midst of Mother’s Day I also had other orders for events! One was postponed so I’ll share that one later but I want to share the other 2 one at a time.

The one I want to share today was for a surprise wedding shower. A mom contacted me that her daughter would be coming in for Mother’s Day and wanted to surprise her with a small wedding shower. Of course I was happy to be a part of it and make cookies for the surprise shower. I love being apart of special occasions!
