It’s time for my middle “kid”’s annual birthday Pumpkin Pie! I say “kid” because, well, he’s 21 today. 😳

Every year since he was old enough to express his opinions and desires for food 😆 he’s requested a pumpkin pie for his birthday instead of birthday cake.

The story we retell every year is the one birthday that I was in school and so busy that I ran out of time to bake his pie so we bought one….and didn’t tell him. 🫣 And when he tasted it and wondered what was wrong with it I had to fill him in. He was NOT a happy birthday-boy. 😡🥳😆

If you know my kid, you know he doesn’t really get mad and if he does it’s not for very long, but he did let me know he would like me to NEVER buy a frozen pumpkin pie ever again.

So, Happy 21 to our boy! He’s at school today so we celebrated with him and his pumpkin pie over the weekend! 🖤💛
