To our beloved patrons;

With the many recent changes near the downtown Lawrenceville area, we have been confronted with a huge decision that we have to make. Despite the fact that many of the changes occurring are Downtown Lawrenceville bettering the area and to create a more pedestrian and college-friendly area in the future, El Caribeno has been caught in the balance. With such changes come increases in rents, property taxes, as well as other circumstances. With these circumstances, we have been given until the first of March to make the decision of either staying or closing. While we are making these decisions, we encourage everyone who loves our food and loves our establishment to stop by and enjoy what has been a piece of Puerto Rico in your own backyard.

After eight long years a providing authentic Puerto Rican favorites with smiling faces, we may have to say our farewells. We won't know for sure until the end of this month and of course we will keep everyone in the loop. If for some reason we are unable to stay, we want to take this time to thank you each and every one of you who spent even just five minutes or a $1.35 on our empanadas. Each and every one of you made this place a success for over 8 years. Welove you all and all of you are EL CARIBEÑO.
