I don't often make custom items beyond scones or cinnamon rolls but I had a little fun over the last couple weeks with some cookies and cupcakes.

Yesterday, I took time to rest in the backyard, breathe, and enjoy the moment. I had a cinnamon roll pull apart bread with my coffee. I sometimes forget to enjoy something delicious for myself but I did! And I sure knocked it out of the park with these cinnamon loaves, if I do say so myself! 😋

SCONES are delicious, creamy, wonderful... and a fresh box might be one of the best ways to go into the weekend.😊 Each batch of 6 has a full stick of European butter and a cup of heavy cream!! That's what makes them 😋😋😋

Happy Monday, everyone! ☀️

I prepped yesterday for my week and went through my beat up binder of recipes to rediscover some old faves. You all should see that binder - it is living proof that I experiment til I find the right recipe! I keep my baking interesting because it's fun for me - but also to offer you variety!! You all probably know I specialize in cream scones, but I've been busy with breads lately, too! 😋

Here are some lemon poppyseed loaves I made bright and early. These babies are for those who like their sweets with a side of tart!

Cinnamon roll pull apart loaves. 😋 Having some right now with coffee and thinking to myself, "girl...you can bake!"

Let me tell you something right now. Starting a baking business is tough work - hard work! - with many, many days that are uncertain and even a bit frightening. "What am I even doing? Who am I to bake these items then try to SELL them?!" On those days, I pick up something I've made, pour a cup of coffee, and appreciate the simple goodness of something homemade. Rome wasn't built in a day, nor is Lost Mooses - Homemade in Las Cruces. Bite by bite...that's the way.
