Hi all, brief departure from the normal purpose of this page to share some photos. Thursday night, 10/10/2024, I drove up north from Lansing, Michigan. I followed US-127, then I-75, US-2, Borgstrom Road, M-28, and M-77 up to Grand Marais, Michigan. When I got to Grand Marais, I had the entire beach and boardwalk all to myself. No artificial lights, not a soul in sight, and the only sounds were the wind and the crashing of waves.

I took a ton of photos with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It does a great job showing the colors in night mode, but does not allow me to set the exposure length. That night, it kept setting a 10-second exposure length, which is a length of time that is very hard to keep still in strong winds. Here are just some of my photos, I hope y’all enjoy them at least half as much as I have.
