Hi friends 🤍
I’ve been a little MIA since the Galentine’s event in early February — and I wanted to share why.
The truth is… I haven’t really been making much bread lately. Not even for my own family. One thing my husband and I have been working on is reducing how much bread we eat each week. Yes, sourdough is better for you — but it’s still bread. For this season, we’ve felt really good about being more mindful and limiting it a bit, and we’ve been so happy with the results.
I’ve also been experimenting with fresh-milled flour and making some no-sugar, higher-protein baked snacks for my little boys — and it’s actually been going really well! I’m still learning, but I’ve loved diving into it. I’m not sure if that’s something you all would want to see more of, though… so let me know in the comments if you’d be interested 🤍
Because of all that (and because we’re celebrating my 30th 🎉 and soaking up some family time), I won’t have open porch pickups this weekend or next. Large batches just aren’t in the cards right now.
But that doesn’t mean I’m done baking 🥖
If you ever find yourself thinking, “I would really love a fresh loaf of sourdough,” and I don’t have a pickup posted, just send me a message. I’d be happy to do a small batch for you and your family when I can.
Thank you for supporting this little home bakery — even in slower, shifting seasons. It truly means so much 🤍
