❤️🤍💙 I’M BACK HOME! ❤️🤍💙

After spending the last month in Arizona with my family, I’m finally back home and ready to slowly get Sourdough Habit back into the swing of things.

My cousin Danielle lost her battle with cancer on August 10th. 💔 The past month has been one of the hardest of my life, and I’m still trying to figure out what “normal” looks like now. I’m hoping September brings a little routine back into my life, and I’m going to do my best to get back to baking and doing something that brings me so much joy. 🥖❤️

I also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported my fellow bakers while I was away. It truly means so much to me. We have such an amazing little community, and I’m so grateful for the way you continue to show up and support all of us.

And with that… I’ll be back at Backroads this Saturday! 🙌🏼

Hi friends,
I wanted to share a little update with all of you.

As many of you know, my cousin Danielle has been courageously battling a rare form of breast cancer. So many of you have prayed for her, checked in on her, and kept her in your thoughts. I can never thank you enough for that.

Right now, Ive been in Phoenix spending this precious time with her. Because of that, I will be taking a break, and I won't be baking or attending markets for now.
Just wanted to explain my absence the last 2 weeks.

One of the greatest blessings this little bakery has given me is all of you. So many customers have become genuine friends, and I'm incredibly grateful for the kindness, encouragement, and support you've shown, not just to my business, but to me and my family.

This Saturday at Backroads, my daughter will be there with fresh cinnamon rolls, bagels, and Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and my sweet friend Elsie from Yeast County Dough Works will be bringing all the delicious sourdough. I'm so thankful for both of them helping make sure you still have fresh bread and baked goods while I'm away. Last weekend my friend Sonic from Asta came through and helped so much as well. I appreciate my fellow bakers.

Thank you for understanding why I need to step away for now. Family is everything, and right now that's exactly where I need to be.

I'll share an update when I'm ready to start baking again.

You all absolutely blew me away last week! ❤️ I never expected to sell out of bread in just 45 minutes.

Because of your incredible support, I’m making even more bread for this Saturday’s market! Thank you for showing up, supporting my little bakery, and making every early morning and late night of baking so worth it. One of my favorite market finds yet. ❤️

I picked up this absolutely beautiful handcrafted cribbage board from Overnighters, LLC as a gift for my little brother, and I honestly couldn’t get over the craftsmanship. Every detail is so thoughtfully made—it’s one of those pieces that’s both functional and something you’ll keep for years.

I also grabbed one of their gorgeous handcrafted herb st*****rs, and I already know it’s going to get plenty of use in the kitchen.

I love finding unique, handcrafted pieces from talented local makers. If you haven’t stopped by Overnighters at the market yet, definitely add them to your list. Their work is truly something special. ❤️

I took a little vacation for myself and spent the holiday relaxing at the river in Parker with one of my besties… a.k.a. the tortilla maker. 😂🌮 It was exactly the reset I needed! Now it’s back to baking, and I can’t wait to see everyone this Saturday.
