Well, better late than never, right? Jameson Blake finally made his debut, on Friday, March 3rd. He’s little over-baked, but perfect nonetheless! 💙
While I cannot wait to be back in an apron, we are soaking up every second with our sweet new addition and adapting to life with a newborn. I will be on maternity leave until I’m fully recovered, but I will be answering inquiries/messages at my earliest convenience. Yesterday, I mentioned a BIG announcement coming your way. Well, here we go:
Let’s talk about business plans, guys. We made our original business plan with rapid growth and expansion in mind. We were well on our way to our goal at the start of this year, growing each and everyday thanks to all of you.
You know what wasn’t in our business plan? A pandemic and a baby.
With that being said, it is with a very heavy heart (and heavy belly) that I must announce that we have decided to downsize our business for the time being. Our last day as a storefront will be December 31st, 2020. I have made the decision to focus on my health for the final few weeks of my pregnancy and the wellbeing of my baby, once he arrives. We will continue to make cakes and other treats, for special orders. We are also committed to those who have already booked cakes for 2021. We are so thankful for the love and support we have received over the past 15 months as a store front, and before that. This is not a farewell. (Just ask my husband about our new storage units, which will contain all of JB’s vintage wares and furniture. 😉) We do have plans for the future of JacieBakes in place, once little ones are in school and COVID-19 is a thing of the past. In the meantime, please keep us in mind for all of life’s special events! Watch out for us on the event circuit with our lil’ vintage booth, and most importantly, come and see us for your holiday goodies! God bless you all, and have a happy holiday season! ❤️✨
