Life update… Grammy Cakes will not be taking any more orders, aside from Family and select friends ,who I have been serving for a while. As you know I have a 40+ hour per week job, and life happens as well, so sometimes I am not able to take care of everyone for the date you need. Some are fantastic to just get with me the next time, but some are not so forgiving of things coming up. When it becomes more stressful than enjoyable , it’s time to stop doing it , on a regular basis.
This started as making birthday cakes for my kids when they were small, and their friends over the years ,and now with the grandbabies. There are many times that I have multiple orders weekly, and it can be too much to juggle. Also, as some may, or may not know the local Knoxville cake supplier, Sugarbakers, is closing and it has primarily been my go to for all the things. All that being said, I LOVE baking and bringing your ideas and inspiration pics to life, but some of the things that come along with it, I am not able to manage at this time… I will still offer fudge and specialty things from time to time at Holiday’s and you can always reach out and ask if I am able to make something for you, but I would like to keep it to a small group. I will fulfill all the orders I currently have, of course, which are through next May, but won’t be accepting anything additional at this time. If you know me well enough you have my number and can always reach out.
I thank you to anyone who I have ever baked a cake or specialty item for, and appreciate you allowing me to be a part of your special day! It has truly been a great joy in my life !
