Hi, everyone! It’s been a while. After taking a break for almost a year, I just wanted to come on here and reintroduce myself. My name is Niyah, and I’m the owner of Niyah’s Vegan Cakehouse. I’m a 31 year old wife and mother of 3 amazing children. I’ve now been a vegan for 10 years, which prior to that, I was a vegetarian for 5 years. I’ve always had a love for cooking and baking ever since the age of 6. I grew up watching Food Network, and I was constantly in awe of the kind of magic that could happen in the kitchen.
My baking journey sort of began years ago when I was struggling to find a baker who could create beautiful vegan birthday cakes for my children that were not only aesthetically pleasing, but also had a taste that could compete with their non-vegan counterparts. From there, I decided to become the baker I was searching for and do it myself. And I’m so glad that I did. Thus, the birth of Niyah’s Vegan Cakehouse. In doing so, I’ve had the privilege of making desserts for so many people both vegan AND non-vegan. What an honor. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me.
