Somewhere between the flour-covered counters, overnight dough, sold out bake days, and chaotic market mornings… Nova Kneads Bakery became so much more than just bread. 🤍
It is with great sadness (and also so much excitement for our family) that we have a HUGE life update to share.
After a lot of thought, prayers, tears, and conversations, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to move from Key Largo back to St. Louis — where I was born and raised before Florida — so we can be closer to family and friends while raising our little family.
Because of this, Nova Kneads Bakery will officially be closing its doors at the end of June as we begin our transition to our new home in July.
Typing this honestly feels unreal.
What started as one little bakery dream built from the ground up somehow turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. This community supported me through every late night bake, every experiment, every market, every viral loaf, every sold out preorder, and every moment in between. I truly cannot thank you all enough.
To every single person who bought a loaf, shared a post, left a comment, supported a market, recommended my business, or simply cheered me on from afar — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You helped make this dream possible.
The Florida Keys gave me more than just a place to bake bread. It gave me friendships, memories, opportunities, confidence, and a bread family that I will carry with me forever. I feel so unbelievably blessed to have met so many amazing people through this journey.

We still have a few weeks of baking left before the big move, so make sure to grab all your favorite sourdough goodies while you can because these final bake days are going to be emotional.
And while I may be leaving the Keys, please continue supporting local small businesses and local sourdough bakers for all your bread needs. Some incredibly talented ones are , , and - they deserve all the love and support too!
And St. Louis people... hopefully you're ready for some sourdough.
