Charlotte Douglas American Airlines is not very good. Leave Nashville late because of late arriving aircraft with no reason given. Pilot makes up time in air, but no gate available so our 30 minute connection time cut to 6 minutes, then we wait for valet bag and end up 11 minutes away from gate. So, last flight to PHL gone. They offer no hotel and 6:30 am flight. We take a 1:00 pm since I don't want to sleep in airport and then go to downtown with my son to a nice facility. Making best of a ruined weekend home after missing rest of family for a week.
Since we got no help last night from agent I see at a different flight gate nearby and I walk up to and politely ask:
"Can you help me with something on the philly flight?"
I would expect a customer service answer like, let me check, I'd be glad to try, what kind of request sir? Or even, an agent working that gate would be better to assist you. But instead I get:
Agent: "Like what?"
Me: "Like seeing if I can be in the upgrade list (as i hold out my tickets) since last night when me and my son missed our flight they didn't put us on it"
Agent: "you don't have to get snippy!"
Me: "you were the snippy one saying "like what", never mind."
And I walk away fromAmerican Airlines-Charlotte Douglas Int'l Airport agent the same way I plan to walk away from my status, my credit card and my loyalty of American Airlines.
