Last month Von and I took the opportunity to make care packages for grieving families during the holidays 💝

This isn’t work life, this is just life.
Suzette's Restaurant is our home. Because of this restaurant my parents gave me 27 years of work experience and I’m only 31 😂

I still remember folding the napkins into fans for every plate setting, playing on my dad’s typewriter in the basement, spinning in circles until I got dizzy, drawing in the front booth, feeding the horses in the back, hiding behind my mom’s leg when I wanted to say hi to customers, dad taking me with him to ace hardware downtown and leaving with a tootsie pop every time.

I’m so GRATEFUL to be a part of this restaurant and for all the wonderful people we’ve met. Customers turned into friends. Thank you to all who took the time to write positive reviews in support of our place. We couldn’t do it without you!

I’ve probably redesigned this s’mores cake each time I’ve made it. This time the chocolate is under the marshmallow so that it doesn’t get burned by the torch. I think this is the design I’ll stick with 😉
