I have been to Alaska for 10 days, then to Vermont- now back to work! While in Alaska, I purchased some sourdough starter. I have tried several times to make sourdough bread and keep the starter going but after a couple of months tired of "feeding" the starter. I have also been concerned about weight gain from eating so much wonderful bread and rolls. I'm back at it again! My favorite is rye. Just the aroma of it cooking is enough reason to make it. I have done some research on various techniques and will be experimenting with a variety of recipes. In the meantime, I will continue to make some of my favorites- sweet potato rolls and Parker House.
