My parents surprised me with this GORGEOUS bouquet (don’t mind my horrible lighting. 😅) from Riverside Greenhouses & Florist for my birthday tomorrow and they even scored the most beautiful sunflowers! My absolute favorite! 😍 in the middle of January, I mean, come on! 🤭💕

I’ve been affected by the plague for going on two weeks now, and today my honey tells me his tummy didn’t feel good. So, the dinner decision was made easy.

Beef stew to make our bodies happy and a delicious soft homemade sweet rolls to make our souls happy. 🤗

Remember those beloved vegan rolls from the Spaghetti Squash dinners for the Lewiston Farmers' Market, ME the last two years…? Yup, that’s right, that’s where you recognize these from! 😘

🥁 Drum roll, please! I am super excited to announced that the wonderful Riverside Greenhouses & Florist has agreed to host me for a Valentine’s Day Pop Up Event! 😍🤗

I plan to be set up from noon-4:00 on Valentine’s Day (Friday, February 14th) with a variety of delicious treats to sweeten up your special day!

I hope you all have been able to avoid this plague going around coming into the new year! (Also, a very happy and healthy new year to you all!🎉)
Whatever this seasons bug is, it hit our house HARD this last week and it got cozy and doesn’t want to leave. Anybody have experience with writing eviction notices…? 😅

With mom and son stuck home sick so much we’ve been taking ample opportunity for cuddles on the couch and website development. (I am no tech wizard, so bear with me. 🙃) I ✨think✨ it’s almost done! And I can’t wait to see what you guys think of it.

Hey Fam!

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and happy holiday season! Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year, but can I just say, oof! I am glad all the traveling is over! Christmas even alone was something like NINE hours total driving! 😅 what we do for the ones we love! 🫶🏼

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that blessed me with the opportunity to be apart of your holiday celebrations and ordered goodie boxes, pies, and so much more!

The Family Table Kitchen and Bakery is currently under reconstruction to be bigger and better for all of you beautiful souls, but I am still more than happy to take your orders for all the sweet treats and goods in the meantime! I’m ✨HOPING✨ to have big changes come late summer/early fall (more on this soon!), keep in mind this time frame is completely tentative. New website in the works, lots of classes being taken, and so much more happening behind the scenes to be able to the my best for you. 🫶🏼 thank you for your patience and understanding during this time! AGAIN, I am still taking orders! But if I’m more quiet than normal, this would be why. 🤦🏼‍♀️😅

If you want to try it at home, I highly recommend using or investing in a pasta roller! A rolling board and dough board will work, but you might be cussing out your shells before you even get started. 😅

My pasta roller is nothing fancy, but it certainly got the job done! 💪🏼

A lot of prep, planning, and practice for these cannoli shells went down this last week!

A very special order for grownwhereplanted’s dad’s birthday, a true Sicilian man who wanted nothing short of an authentic and traditional cannoli for his birthday! Halley, thank you for always challenging me and keeping me on my toes! And thank you for once again trusting me to be apart of your celebration! 🙏🏼💕

I have one seal of approval for my tiramisu from a Sicilian customer, I’m crossing my fingers for my second for my cannolis! 🤞🏼😍

Good morning, Fam!

I wanted to take a moment to apologize for abrupt absence. As you know, a few weeks ago my pup got very sick very quickly. We had high hopes of keeping her stable until a neurology appointment that was supposed to be able to identify exactly which type of central nervous system neurological disorder was trying to take over my little girl and how to get her back on the road to health. We were given every confidence that if she stayed stable during the waiting period until we got to neurology that the outcome would likely be a positive one. The vet gave us a couple meds to help keep her happy and stable during the wait. The first week, things were really looking up! The second week, things went down hill a bit. The second weekend… things took a turn.
When it comes to my pets, I’m “one of THOSE people” and my fur babies are just that. My babies. Just like my son is. And my little girl was hurting. So, I had to make a very unfair decision and on Wednesday I shattered my heart for love and mercy and had to say goodbye.

The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster for myself and my family, and I am truly sorry for my unexpected absence and I am so thankful to those of you who reached out to check on me and continued to support my business anyway. 🙏🏼💕 we are still grieving, but Enola would want me to keep moving. So, I’ll be back in the kitchen Monday! (as I’m in the kitchen at Bear Belly's Tap and Table all weekend, that’s right, vacation is over so come on down!)

If anyone is looking for an addition to the family, a fur baby, a companion, a friend for life, you need to reach out to Blessed be the Bullies Rescue! They are the amazing and loving people that blessed me with my Enola, and they always have so many amazing pups in need of foster or forever homes. And they take their placements SERIOUSLY! So, safe, serious, loving inquiries only please. 🙏🏼💕🫶🏼 Thank you again, BBTB for introducing us to the most amazing pup, she was everything and so much more.

Hey Fam!

I am writing this post with an anxious and worried heart, pride stripped, and vulnerable.

My pup, fur baby, companion, son’s best friend, and overall the most kind soul on this earth… she has been dealt the most unfair deck in her lifetime. From her abusive start to life before her rescue from the amazing Blessed Be The Bullies and my adoption, to going through cancer just a few months ago and KICKING CANCERS ASS! And to now, this morning, thinking I was rushing her to the vet due to a stroke… but in reality she has some form of central nervous system neurological disorder but our vet can be sure which one and what level of severity.

My girl now needs a neurologist and lots of tests, blood panels, MRI’s, and more. I won’t paint a sob story for you, time are hard everywhere, I can appreciate that. But my little girl needs my help, which means needs me to be strong and ask for help. Between estimates from my vet and talking with neuro while scheduling, we’re starting estimates between $7,000-$10,000.00 just to determine exactly what demon has ahold of my little duchess. If you can donate anything, any amount is so amazingly helpful. If you cannot donate, I completely understand, but please share so that maybe someone who can donate might see the need! 🙏🏼💕

I appreciate each and every one of you! Prayers, well wishes, good vibes, and everything in between are always so appreciated in the meantime during this crucial in waiting period until we get her in! 🫶🏼

Sometimes I’m a baker, sometimes I’m an antiquer (I use this term LIGHTLY, don’t come after me because it’s not my passion project everyday or these aren’t as old as you’d like for “antiquing”. 😅) but every day I’m a nerd in what I do, and I’m TOTALLY geeking out over these two new cookbooks I found today!

I’ve been passing an antique shop every time on my way to my shifts at Bear Belly's Tap and Table but never had the time to stop, so not having to work today, I made the time. Frost Antiques, you have a breathtaking collection! 😍 there is literally a million somethings for everybody! I went in simply to graze today and I found something for everyone on my Christmas list. So, you’ll be seeing me again! 👏🏼💯

I am so excited to test out vintage recipes for you guys from the Modern Encyclopedia of Cooking and to sample bake and sample different vintage Christmas cookies with my bonus daughters this holiday season from The Christmas Cookie Book! 💕

Hey Fam!

Let’s take a hot a moment to talk about pie, after all, it is pie season! 😍😛🤤

I am proud and thankful for the response throughout the last two years, but especially during the holiday season that you all have given my pies! And I am extra grateful for the recognition of the my pie crust! 🙏🏼😍 a lot of time, love, and technique edits have gone into my pie crust to give you what you have come to fall in love with today!

But what makes for a good sturdy but flaky and flavorful pie crust that takes the stage without stepping on the filling toes…? 🤔

Babe… it’s BUTTER! That’s why we call it ALL BUTTER PIE CRUST! Take it from your baker, do not beat your butter into non existence! Leaving clumps of butter (like the blobs of white shiny bits you see in my dough below 👇🏼) will help to leave delightful airy, buttery, flaky mini pockets in your crust giving you that flaky crumble you love from your pie! 🤗 use COLD (or better yet, frozen and grate it with a cheese grater) butter and mix just enough for your dough to come so you can roll or whatever your plan with it is! 🫶🏼

Today Anthony is taking a huge step for his business and is having his soft opening for his home storefront! 😍

I was just there and let me tell you, just go! 👏🏼

I picked up my semi weekly bread, we use for everything from bread to go with meals, grilled sandwiches, crostinis, and so much more! And for a few special treats, a couple pesto tomato tarts and a pumpkin spice muffin for my honey. 🥰
